Grain Merchandiser

Sean grew up on a farm north of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, learning the ropes of farming from his dad, uncles, and grandpa. His upbringing gave him a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that farmers face.

Before joining Grasslands, Sean spent nine years with Broda Group, gaining extensive experience as an Equipment Operator and later as a Foreman. Sean’s experience in managing large-scale operations means he knows how to tackle complex challenges head-on. Now, as Grasslands’ Grain Merchandiser, he applies this knowledge to help farmers navigate the complexities of grain marketing and contracts, ensuring they get the best possible outcomes for their hard work. His hands-on understanding of farming equips him to be a trusted partner.

In January 2024, Sean took on the role of Grain Merchandiser with his family’s business. This position not only allows him to stay closer to home and spend more time with his growing family, but also gives him the opportunity to apply his operational expertise to support local farmers. Sean is passionate about this role, finding it both challenging and rewarding.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys quadding, hunting, ice fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. As a father of two, with a third child on the way, he prioritizes the balance between work and family life.
