Chief Agricultural & Farming Officer

From his earliest days on a farm north of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Blake has lived and breathed farming. By six years old, he was already behind the wheel of a tractor, actively participating in every farm task his dad and grandfather would permit. This early involvement was fueled by a deep, instinctual connection to the land—a connection that has shaped his entire life. Today, as Grasslands’ Chief Agricultural & Farming Officer, Blake’s voice guides the Grasslands team in forging deep and meaningful connections with the farming community, ensuring their needs and insights are at the forefront of our strategic decisions.

Blake continues to participate in all aspects and seasons of work on his family’s farm, whenever he is able. His active involvement in farming not only keeps him grounded but also informs his professional efforts at Grasslands. His connection to agriculture and his commitment to its traditions make him a natural advocate for our farmers and a vital asset to our team.

In his free time, Blake enjoys hunting, quadding, sledding, and curling—though he doesn’t get as much time for them as he used to, he jumps at every opportunity. He loves traveling the world with Sandy, his family and the Grasslands team, and is absolutely obsessed with his grandchildren.
