Sav has spent over 30 years in the Canadian food industry, specializing in product and brand development and recognized for an ability to identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities. A graduate of the University of Guelph, Sav is known as an adaptive strategic leader who brings clarity, creativity and operational insights to agri-food challenges.

Deeply committed to local producers and strengthening the connection between products on the shelf and the farmers who grow the ingredients, Sav advocates for more transparent and resilient food systems. This commitment has shaped his approach to sourcing, product innovation and market development throughout his career.

Sav’s professional background includes key leadership roles at Federated Co-operatives Limited and Loblaw Companies Limited, where he influenced product portfolios and built a strong supplier network. His governance experience includes on the Manitoba Protein Consortium and currently as Chair of the Board of Directors at the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre, supporting innovation and commercialization for food entrepreneurs across the Prairies.

Sav continues to be recognized for his collaborative leadership style and his dedication to advancing Canada’s food ecosystem through strategic vision and strong industry partnerships.

Outside of work, Sav enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening and traveling.
