Tristan, our Indigenous Insight Lead, is Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) from Cote First Nation and Zagime Anishinabek. She brings years of experience in education, Indigenous engagement, and land-based learning to her work at Grasslands.

With a Bachelor of Education from the University of Regina, Tristan’s career has focused on integrating Indigenous perspectives and traditional knowledge into learning environments. Her background in early childhood and nature-based education has shaped her holistic approach to relationship building, mentorship, and community collaboration.

At Grasslands, Tristan applies this expertise to strengthen understanding, foster inclusion, and create meaningful connections that reflect Indigenous values and perspectives. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, taking summer camping trips, and gathering with loved ones throughout the year.
